Description
During my photo outing yesterday at Hanalei, I spotted the famous Hawaiian double-hull canoe, The Hōkūle'a (commonly spelled Hokulea), at the Hanalei Pier. People came to check it out and interact with its crew. The Hōkūle'a is known for ocean voyages where its crew navigates with just the stars, sun, weather patterns, and other natural observations, just as the ancient Polynesians did, hundreds of years ago.
And yes, the water looked greener on that side of the pier due to the underwater sand.
